Ukraine has acquired a total of 5,876 photovoltaic panels made available beneath the Ray of Hope venture, a joint initiative from the Ministry of Vitality of Ukraine, the Ministry of Well-being of Ukraine, and the European Fee.
The panels, manufactured by Italian firm Enel S.p.A, have a complete capability of around 2 MW. They are going to be delivered to healthcare amenities within the Zhytomyr, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, and Odesa areas.
The Ukrainian Wellbeing Ministry stated that the variety of healthcare amenities to obtain tools will improve sooner or later. Further tools required for the setup of photovoltaic panels can be bought through the Ukraine Vitality Help Fund.
President of the European Fee, Ursula von der Leyen, introduced the launch of the Ray of Hope venture in the direction of the beginning of the final yr, when Enel was introduced it might donate the photo voltaic panels to the venture.
Viktor Liashko, Minister of Well-being of Ukraine, stated Russia’s fixed assaults on Ukraine’s power system are making medical infrastructure very weak. “To make sure that medical amenities can present uninterrupted medical care to sufferers, we’re working to equip them with different power sources. Particularly, photo voltaic panels. This is a vital step in the direction of power independence and steady operation of medical amenities,” Liashko added.
Earlier this year, a feasibility study from the United Nations Growth Programme in Ukraine assessed the potential of 37 photovoltaic initiatives at hospitals and water-provide amenities in 18 Ukrainian cities and located the potential to generate an uninterrupted energy provider if applied.
